Original brain games built from waste wood, old gift bags, and used cables — turning discarded materials into playable, teachable objects that spread circular-economy thinking through collaboration and problem-solving.

REGAME set out to answer a specific question: how much could a group of young people actually build using only what other people were about to throw away? Working through the PUM-O+ youth programme in Celje, the team's canvas — dated 11 March 2026 — committed them to designing brain and logic games out of leftover wood, old gift bags and their cords, and used electrical cable, built explicitly around the circular-economy principles of rethink, reuse, repurpose.
The project ran March through May 2026: collecting materials from the local community (which doubled as a small awareness campaign about everyday waste), designing and prototyping several games, testing them, and finishing with a public event where the community could try the games and hear about the sustainability thinking behind them. Testers were surveyed on how fun each game was, how easy the rules were to follow, the quality of the recycled materials, and whether they'd recommend it — direct feedback the team folded back into the final designs. The team set themselves real targets going in: at least three finished, tested games, at least 15 young people actively involved, and a presentation event drawing 30 or more attendees, on a working budget of roughly €2,800 covering materials, workshop space, the event itself, promotion, and documentation.
The games are physical objects that outlast the project itself — REGAME's own plan treats them as reusable teaching tools for future workshops and events, concrete proof that circular-economy thinking produces things people actually want to use, not just a slogan. The team's own SWOT work was candid about the risk: a tight two-month build window, with no guarantee the right materials would turn up in the right quantity or quality — which is exactly why the finished games matter as evidence the idea holds up.
